Should you try an at-home sheet face mask tonight?
The best time to pamper yourself is always! It just makes you feel better, relax and re-energise. If you haven’t done so in a while, then now may just be the time to do so – perhaps a face mask, at home pedicure or just a long hot bath.
I was quite excited about trying this face mask out – I’ve tried others from Sorbet and these face masks are by no means new, they have been on the market for a good while now. And with the traveling this past week, I popped into my local Sorbet looking for something to spoil myself. And this offered a cheap, quick way to achieve a pampered feeling!

So the firming face mask seemed intriguing – I think the “anti-aging and Hydrating” caught my attention the most. Now I’m not old, but people always say to look after your skin while you are young! And they are right – a good skin care routine is really good for you. Mine is pretty basic – a face mask every now and then, face cream, lots of water and a good amount of sleep are all included.
The Sorbet Firming Face Mask includes 1 application as a sheet mask with has the serum. A sheet mask is basically a piece of face-shaped sheet fabrics soaked in nutrition-packed solution called serum.
The mask is cooling as it goes on your face, which I find with most sheet masks – sometimes a pain in winter! But it’s refreshing and has a great side effect of taking any swelling down. The only thing I didn’t love about this mask was the smell – it isn’t at all bad, but perhaps could have a fragrance added to make the experience more enjoyable. The smell is very similar to most moisturizers – and being such an important sensory, I think it would have been nice had this been considered.
My skin was a touch dry before applying the mask, having just gone through a bit of an outbreak I was hoping that the application would just help get my skin back to normal – which it did! Right after application, there was a lot of the serum left on my face, but the instructions mention to just let it soak in. My skin felt soft and smooth, but the biggest notice was that the bit of swelling and redness I had, went down considerably – just in time for my big night out!
As it mentions on the pack, the most effective routine with these masks is an application every 2 week for the first month and then monthly.
